Drew Barrymore: Marriage is an adventure

02 February 2012Drew Barrymore can't wait to host her "wonderful" wedding this year.

The 36-year-old actress became engaged to art dealer Will Kopelman in December.

Drew is having a great time sorting out details for her wedding ceremony.

She can't wait to host the big event.

"The thing that I think we're the most excited about is... this will be such a nice year to do wonderful things together," Drew said in an interview on American news and talk TV show Anderson. "We like to spend time with our friends anyway, so on the auspices of this kind of a celebration, even more heightened and wonderful. What a great adventure."

Drew was completely unaware that a decision to attend an event would change her life so dramatically.

"I didn't want to go to this little party, and my friend dragged me there and I met [Will]," Drew recalled. "[T]hings got serious [in 2011]."

Drew commends Will on his impeccable sense of style. The star is delighted with the engagement ring he chose for her.

"It's beautiful," she gushed. "[Will] picked it out and he's just got lovely taste, and it's really fancy. I'm sort of like funky, eclectic girl so I feel like this is very fancy and I'm trying to like, you know, feel comfortable with it."
