David Beckham: Victoria bans me wearing briefs

03 February 2012David Beckham's wife Victoria insists that he wear long johns at home.

The chiselled soccer player launched an underwear line called David Beckham Bodywear for H&M this week.

David's fashion designer wife approves of his interest in the clothing industry, but she is very picky about what pants he is allowed to wear at home.

"Victoria loves me in long johns. I like wearing the normal, short briefs but she reckons she likes me better wearing the long johns!" David told British newspaper The Mirror. "She makes me wear them around the house... but that's OK 'cause they're comfortable and keep you warm."

David has appeared in numerous racy advertising campaigns in his underwear. He has never tried to conceal his authentic family jewels.

"I've never, ever padded out my pants, or shoved socks down there though," David laughed. "I've never had to for any of the photoshoots I've done because, hopefully, I don't need to. Well, let's just say I've been told I don't need any help in that department... I think I'm pretty OK."

David admits that his three sons find seeing their father nearly nude in public strange sometimes, even though he walks around home shirtless regularly.

"They were like, 'That's really good, but everyone's gonna see you in your pants,' " he shared. "I definitely do walk around the house in my underwear. But not naked. With the boys it's not a problem because they're naked all the time but with a little girl now, it is different."

David's line is now available at H&M stores in the UK.

He and his wife Victoria have sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, nine, and Cruz, six and seven-month-old baby daughter Harper Seven together. © Cover Media
