Avril Lavigne 'seen kissing ex'

24 January 2012Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner were "very affectionate" with each other over the weekend despite rumours of a split.

It had been reported last week that the musician and the reality star had ended their relationship after a year and a half together.

But People magazine reports that the twosome were seen getting cosy together at Culina restaurant at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills.

"They had drinks on the patio and moved inside for dinner," the eyewitness observed.

"They were kissing and cuddling and were very affectionate. They definitely didn't look broken up."

The pair never confirmed the demise of their romance and friends had speculated that they could get back together after a break.

And Brody jumped to the defence of his lady love and posted a message on Twitter after fans wrote negative comments about the singer.

"Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart," he wrote on the social networking site. "I love her." © Cover Media
