Demi Moore treated for exhaustion

25 January 2012Demi Moore is being treated for exhaustion after being rushed to hospital.

Paramedics were called to the actress' Los Angeles home on Monday night after a 911 call was placed. Demi was assessed for 30 minutes before being taken to a local medical facility.

Her representative has said the 49-year-old is going to take some time out to get help and work on getting better.

"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," the spokesperson said. "She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."

Website TMZ has alleged the mother-of-three is now undergoing treatment for substance abuse. There have been reports she suffered seizure-like symptoms, with a source telling E! Online she began "shaking".

Demi was left devastated after reports emerged that her husband of six-years, Ashton Kutcher, had cheated on her with Sara Leal on their wedding anniversary.

She announced soon after that she was ending the marriage but divorce papers have not yet been filed. © Cover Media
